So while I'm trying to get what I want to post first and where I even want to begin, (who knew there would be so much!) Ill share my favorite blogs with you. I only have 2, haha! But the list as to why I love them could go on and on. (everything I think go on and on, I think of the Geico commercial) They are both so hilarious, have so many useful tips & tricks & extremely inspirational.
Young House Love - Younghouselove.com
John, Sherry, Clara and Burger are a perfect team! I love how they have their projects set up, thats actually want Im working on doing for this blog. They just bought an amazing house, and turning it into their own, one project at a time.
DIY Diva - Diydiva.net
Kit Stansley is an women who is restoring a farm house and a farm to working order, one project at a time.
I know I said one project at a time twice. I think its important to note that I also am trying to turn our house into a home, one project at a time. I find I can relate to both of these guys' blog. I dont feel bad about not spending a ton of money, or saving pennies for a bigger project. I love that they are REAL and down to earth. Seriously, you need to go check out their blogs.

Crappy blogger award goes to.... Me!
No surprise here, I havent blogged in a year! So much has changed. I was going to be giving this up all together, until I had 3 people tell me a 24 hour period that my ideas were so cute and creative. Which just affirmed that I should actually get off my butt and blog about my projects! Ive said it before, all I want is for someone to get inspired by my blogs, the way some of the blogs I follow do for me.
SO this means what?
Over the next week you will see the looks of this place change.... again
You will start to see me posting pictures of what our house looks like now!
Last but not least, I will be posting about my DIY's and my awesome deals I've found.
Im sure Ive forgotten a thousand other things. But its hard to concentrate when the sun is shining outside and Im stuck at work.

Canning Jar Lid Wreath, plus a mini update!
So its been a while but life has been completely crazy. I have no time for much of anything it seems like lately! We've had lots going on and it doesnt look it its slowing down any time soon! I just wanted to share the most recent picture of me and my man. I promise I will take some time to get everything uploaded. I have my family coming up, my mans most recent race and so much more! haha
Also, I wanted to share one of my projects!
I got 2 boxes of these, 4 bucks a box.
Got them all out and them separated.
Divided some up, and spray painted them. Let them dry for a good 20 minutes if not a little bit longer to avoid the spray paint smell in your house.
I went with these, and Almond White from Krylon.
Line 'em up with how you want your wreath. I used a piece of Burlap.
I also left some of them shiny silver. I love how its kinda random and totally my house colors. I also love (not on purpose I may add) Some spray paint missed some of the lids. I think it adds charter. I also love the way the paint has chipped a little bit when rubbing the lids together. I think it gives it a more rustic feeling.
Tie at top and hang!
Easy as pie!
With the left over lids and box; I spray painted those, and applied some hemp around the box for coasters!
Happy Wednesday!

You might notice something new
I have changed the blog and URL!
I have decided, that I am going to try to post some DIY projects that Ive done or projects in the house in hopefully inspiring someone to do something crafty! I follow tons of blogs that inspire me so much & I want to give some of that back! I plan on starting slow maybe one or 2 posts every couple of weeks and if its something that I enjoy to increase to one a week. I also am going to show you before, during and after photos of projects that are currently going on in my house. If I use another persons blog, I will link it up so you can see theirs too!
I saw a post, hopefully I can find it again! that was so inspirational and helped me make the decision to start blogging my projects. She said, if you dont love it, dont do it. Because if you dont love it, it becomes a chore or task that you have to do. She turned her blog into a huge website, and I just think thats awesome! So Im going to give it a shot! Why not!?

Success
It hasnt been a month since I last blogged! Win!
I have planned meals till May 9th. Yes, a month! NO Im not crazy. I think planning that far in advance will keep these next few weeks going fast, and also help the piggy bank. By knowing what we are going to have in 3 weeks, I can cut coupons a little more accordingly. fantastic!
Im ecstatic to say, we put in a OFFER on a HOUSE! CRAZY. but so exciting. Kam and I are both so excited to start this new chapter!
Speaking of dinner nightly and everything, which is going great. Havent missed a night yet!
Heres what we had last night that I recommend EVERYONE should try.
I am great with seeing progress. So lists work for me. Last time I kinda did a list of things, that I wanna check off and hopefully every month I can do this as a tracker of how well Im doing.
Cook Book - Assembled & Actively using, just collecting more recipes!
Cooking Dinner Nightly - That is going wonderfully! Every night this week I have done something, and some of the meals we have tried something new!
Gardening - My herbs are growing wonderfully! Hopefully we can plant more when we move into the new house :)
Getting out of the grove- WELL we are buying a house, trying new recipes and doing more things together. Id say we are doing great!+10
Coupons - By planning meals ahead of time, I can collect coupons for upcoming dinners. and by getting a shopping list in order for only what we need has really really helped me not buy things we do not need.
Scrapbooking. THIS WEEKEND. since it has snowed we cant really do much else. haha
Inspiration Book - Since we have put in an offer on the house and I know more of what its going to look like and where Im gonna get to decorate, this has become SO much easier. Even Kam is helping! yipee!

domesticated
Well saying goodbye to my grandma was so hard. I basically cried the entire time. I have to say thank you to my wonderful supportive boyfriend Kamas for holding my hand through it all and a huge thanks to my family for knowing just how I felt and everything they did for me. Amazing people I have in my life. <3
We are now serious house hunters. We got pre approved and are looking for something borderline perfect. We want 3 bed 2 bath preferably with a yard to make a masterpiece & have a dog. Since we've been looking, Ive had this urge to get everything in order. and since Ive had this urge, I feel like Im being more domesticated. haha I say that jokingly but in all seriousness I feel like Im becoming more of an adult women. Which all in it self makes me feel amazing. So Im going to share some of things Im doing around our house to make me feel so accomplished.
* Cook Book. Finally getting around to getting our cook book done! Ive found all these fantastic recipes from The Pioneer Women, Ree Drummond. Here is the link to her website http://thepioneerwoman.com/, Its AWESOME. Ive broke down food categories to everything I can possibly think of. Go tab dividers and its all labeled in a binder waiting for me to fill it. My plan is to get the recipes to all the same basic layout, which means some of them Im going to have to retype myself. but I feel like if they are the same then I can just find it without a problem. Im still contemplating whether or not I am actually going to put every recipe inside a sleeve or not. If I do it could possibly save a recipe from being destroyed from a spill. Ill just have to test it with my tab dividers.
*Cooking Dinner. With doing that cook book, its made me realize I want to start making more at home dinners. Sometimes its really hard and others I know exactly what I want to do. But so far this is day 4 of cooking and Im loving it! Also something that I think will help me, is having a planner, I can plan a week of dinners at a time and see what we had last week, what not to do this week. Some of them I really like having preplanned so I can get it all ready in the morning and either stick it in the crock-pot in the morning or know what I need to do right when I get home. Kam is so great too, because hell help me cook every once and a while. I love just cooking and talking to him about the day and whats going on. He puts a smile on my face :)
*Gardening. crazy to hear those words come out of my mouth. but I have planted an herb garden! I cant wait till we actually have a place of our own so that I can plant veggies & make more homemade recipes.
*Homemade Baking. I am attempting to make my own bread, flour tortillas and whatever else comes to mind! I think this will potienally save us some pennies in the end and who doesnt love homemade stuff?
*Getting Out Of The Grove. I want to try new things. For example, Last night I made a new kind of potatoes for our friend cubed steaks last night. Heres the link to them http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2010/05/restaurant-style-smashed-potatoes/ They were DELICIOUS! Kam mixed everything together for me, but I put my red potatoes (which I love) in the crock-pot on my lunch and set it on the lowest setting possible when I got home they were all ready to be delicious. I tried a new recipe AND green onion. Which I happened to love as well. So when I make individual pot pies tonight I am going to put green onion in them, which works well because thats what we are growing too! Today I put a can of sweetened condensed milk in the crock pot and hopefully when I get home from work its gonna be caramel! Something new.
* Coupons. In ALL reality, coupons takes so much time. but IT IS worth it. I have a binder with baseball card holders in there with that broke down by tab dividers into everything I could think of and Im slowly starting to collect some coupons. My thing is, If Im not gonna use it dont cut it. simple enough.
*Scrapbooking. I love to be creative and scrapbooking makes me feel good. Looking through all my memories. I want to be able to pass those kind of things onto my kids and grand-kids when I get old. I have decided, Im just going to scrapbook what I have available, since most of my childhood pictures are at my parents. One weekend I go down Ill go through it with my mom again and get all the stuff I want to include.
*Inspiration Book. Thank you Bethany Ever After on Bravo! They just bought a GORGEOUS apartment and have all these designers, the thing that hit me the most about this episode is she just handed over a binder to a designer that she called her inspiration book. She went on to describe it, and I fell in love with the idea. She has a binder of all of the looks and things she loves and wants in a house. So what have I been doing!? creating our own Inspiration Book. Now we arent going to hire a designer by any means. so Its mostly DIY stuff that I know Kam and I can do. Ill have to show you some pages when I get further along
AND I know this is all kinda making me sound like I am an old lady BUT I have started crocheting. and I love it. Being the over achiever I am, I have decided I am making a queen sized blanket. It might end up taking me a life time to make but I love it. Next time I post, Which I promise, I am trying to do atleast twice a month I will show you all pictures :)
Until then Im going to watch the rain fall and day dream about decorating.
